Another year gone by and I’m a little remininiscent. Every year I’m always looking forward to it and when its over, events replay in my head hoping to relive it once again. Couldn’t have asked for a better company! Such an honor to be in Royal court 3 years in a row. I also took much more pictures compared to previous years. Morse had their cupcake toast and it was cute. Hands down, I believe Morse should have won that centerpiece. Proud of you Audrey!
Dance time and oh man.. I wish the songs could have been better. But aye, I had Danielle and Kiel. Haha. She was my partner. I lost my voice a little bit since I kept yelling. Lol. I saw Jaymes and reintroduced myself. Havent seen him since Summer ‘10 at Godwin’s. He got extremely tall.. Haha. Danced a couple songs with him. Took a break. Couldnt really find him after that. Slow song came on. Soon as I turned around, this guy was there and he was looking at me already. So hey, we ended up just slow dancing together. Introduced ourselves and talked a little bit. Danced a few more songs. Got water. Sat for a while. Danced with my girls! Labaco and I got Mira Mesa’s AI to dance with us then thats when everyone started crowding around us. But he knocked over my tiara so I just took it off. LOL. Danced more and tried to make the best out of what we had!
Denny’s then home.
I always have to contemplate if I should go with a date or not.
Having a date, I know I have someone to look forward to seeing and being with the whole night. I have someone to match with, share special dances with, get to know and have a good time with because I wouldnt care so much for anyone else because I have my date. I have someone to look cute for, vice versa, just to let everyone know Im yours for the night. Also, no one can pull a ninja, sneak up behind me and start dancing out of nowhere. If you’re my date, then I won’t ditch you. That’s just rude. Unless it’s established we can go dance with other people. Picture dates are cute too!
Not having a date can be good as well. I can scan through the crowd who gives off the same vibe as me and have a good time. But I don’t necessarily need another to have fun since I have my friends that know exactly how to keep me laughing. I can look good single and I’ll be ready to mingle. Hahahah.
Now the downsides:
Based on my experiences, I just feel like I’m dragging them with me everywhere whether its because they’ve never had a date or its with people they’re not accustomed to. “Let’s take pictures!” “Let’s go do this, that” and they just give in. I dont wanna take charge. I’ll just feel bad. I want you to have a say in things and plan too. I know that he has his own friends to be with and I sure as hell dont want to ruin that for him. If we have different crowds, and it seems like it doesn’t work out as well trying to compromise.. I try to avoid awkwardness but it happens when have different comfort levels.
Maybe I just want someone I’m fully comfortable with. That isn’t afraid to anything just to have the best out of the night. I believe that no matter what the situation is, your night can be defined by how well you spent it with the person. I’m honestly down to be the best date you’ve ever had, if you’re willing to do the same.
I’ve never really gone stag before. Lol, first time for everything. I don’t know.
I was looking through old pictures on my Facebook and I realized I still have pictures from last year’s RO Ball. The fudge.
This is my storybook: My first RO Ball
I thought it was alrite the music was wack except for a few songs and the food was decent. Finally had the confidence to start swanging. The thing that made my night though was meeting this one girl from Morse. We danced the rest of the night and I told her she was pretty then when the lights were…
And who pushed you to dance with that Morse girl? Yeahh…you’re welcome, Patlick.
What was the girl’s name ?
OH hey, calling all Morse girls that were at RO ball! Help this dude out. LOL.

Getting ready at Hazel’s was so much fun. Beats getting ready by yourself. We got our make up done by my brother’s girlfriend, Ate Patriccia. Did my own hair, that failed me. Lol.
I wish I took more pictures with people though, but it’s okay. Table 58 was fun. Mira Mesa’s Sabre Team is like.. our Drumcorps- personality wise. Hahah. Met new people, and took home some cute stuffs. I have the little passport Mira Mesa made for the people who are sitting on their table and it has my name on it. I got a new cellphone charm with JC and I’s picture on it, another tiara, sash, etc.
SO awkward walking down honor guard when we weren’t supposed to. They didn’t even announce Morse all the way I think.
After taking Royal Court, Unarmed and DC pictures, I RAN my ass off, took off everything and went into the dance floor. Luckily, my date found me.
THE DANCING PART: Let me tell you, songs were lame. It sucked cause we sent the brigade mixes and nice ass songs, but they didn’t play it. I really really really wish the dancing was longer. *sigh. Even if the songs were lame, I still tried to make the best out of it. Hey, RO ball’s only once a year. I still found a way to dance along with em (; Waaaangies! I got caught once by MSG Ruiz’s wife. She was like “Excuse me, excuse me. Calm down! Calm down!” LOL.
I’d like to say thank you to JC Angeles who put up with me (;
I really liked the last song. It was toooo cute. I like the feeling of just slow dancing with someone like that, head on his shoulders. Kiss on the cheek and night was over.
Went to Denny’s and ate. I was tired and just wanted to sleep. Went to Hazel’s house and walked in on people taking shots and playing “I’ve never.” Ate Mianca was like “Wooow Michelle, how was RO ball? You look like you’re glowing. What happened huh?” and other stuffs. Went straight to bed layed out in the family room and slept. Kuya woke me up around 3:30 to go home. Didn’t actually sleep until 4.
People say RO ball was bad this year, but it’s up to you how you make it. Make it fun or beat yourself up for it. If it’s shitty, why make yourself shitty too? I don’t know about you guys but I had fun. Thanks everyone!
